Refund & Cancellation Policy
Understand our cancellation procedures, refund eligibility, and important information about cruise vacation reservations.
Last Updated: October 12, 202601 Policy Overview
CruiseLineReservationDesk helps travelers explore cruise vacation options and obtain assistance with travel planning. Where a booking is arranged through a cruise line or another travel provider, that provider's applicable booking terms will determine cancellation conditions and refund eligibility.
Submitting an inquiry does not automatically create a confirmed reservation or a payment obligation. If you proceed with a booking, carefully review the confirmation, payment conditions, cancellation deadlines, and refund restrictions supplied for that reservation.
This policy should be read together with our Terms & Conditions and any specific terms disclosed during the booking process.
02 Cancellation Policy
Cancellation conditions vary according to the cruise line, itinerary, departure date, fare type, cabin category, booking date, and time remaining before departure.
Some reservations may allow cancellation with a partial refund, while others may involve cancellation fees, forfeiture of deposits, or non-refundable amounts.
- Review the cancellation terms provided with your booking confirmation.
- Submit cancellation requests as early as possible.
- Check whether the cruise line requires a specific cancellation method or form.
- Allow time for your request to be received and processed by the responsible provider.
A cancellation request is not considered confirmed until the relevant booking provider acknowledges or processes it, where such confirmation is required.
03 Customer-Initiated Cancellations
If you need to cancel your cruise plans for personal, professional, medical, scheduling, or other reasons, contact us or the provider responsible for your reservation.
The amount refundable, if any, will depend on the applicable booking conditions and the timing of your cancellation. Cancellation fees may increase as the departure date approaches.
Please include the following information when submitting a cancellation inquiry:
- Your full name as listed on the reservation.
- Your booking or reservation reference, if available.
- The scheduled cruise departure date.
- A clear statement that you wish to cancel.
- Any additional information reasonably needed to identify the booking.
Do not send full payment card numbers, passwords, or other sensitive authentication information by email.
04 Refund Eligibility
Refund eligibility is assessed according to the terms of the specific reservation and the policies of the relevant cruise line or service provider.
A refund may be available in circumstances such as:
- A cancellation permitted under the applicable booking terms.
- An approved refund following a cancellation by the cruise line or provider.
- A duplicate payment or an incorrectly processed charge that is verified and eligible for correction.
- Another situation in which a refund is required under the booking agreement or applicable law.
These examples do not guarantee a refund. Eligibility, the amount payable, and any deductions must be determined based on the facts of the case and applicable terms.
05 Non-Refundable Bookings and Charges
Certain fares, promotional offers, deposits, service fees, and other charges may be designated as non-refundable under the terms disclosed before purchase.
Where permitted by applicable law and the relevant booking agreement, these amounts may not be returned following a customer-initiated cancellation.
- Non-refundable cruise fares or deposits, where clearly disclosed.
- Cancellation penalties imposed under the applicable booking terms.
- Third-party fees that are lawfully non-refundable.
- Services already provided and properly charged, where the applicable terms and law permit the charge to be retained.
We will not treat a charge as non-refundable where doing so would conflict with applicable law or an enforceable refund entitlement.
06 Refund Request and Processing
To inquire about a refund, contact info@cruiselinereservationdesk.com and provide the relevant booking information.
The general process is as follows:
- Step 1: Submit your refund request with your booking reference and a description of the issue.
- Step 2: We will review the information available and identify the relevant booking provider, where applicable.
- Step 3: The responsible provider or payment handler will determine eligibility where the refund is subject to its approval.
- Step 4: If approved, the refund will be processed through the applicable payment arrangement.
Processing times vary according to the provider, payment method, financial institution, and complexity of the request. If a provider gives an estimated processing timeframe, that timeframe will apply subject to its terms and any circumstances outside its control.
We cannot promise a fixed refund timeframe before the responsible provider and payment method have been identified.
07 Cancellations by Cruise Lines or Providers
A cruise line or service provider may cancel, delay, reschedule, reroute, or otherwise change a trip due to operational requirements, weather, safety concerns, port restrictions, or other circumstances.
If a cruise is cancelled by the provider, available options may include a refund, a future travel credit, rebooking, or another remedy offered under the provider's policies.
The options available depend on the reason for cancellation, the terms of the booking, and applicable law. We will not represent a future travel credit or rebooking option as a cash refund unless the relevant terms provide for it.
Contact the responsible provider or our team for guidance on the options applicable to your reservation.
08 Booking Changes and Amendments
Changes to passenger names, travel dates, cabin categories, itineraries, or other booking details may be subject to availability and the provider's amendment rules.
Changes may result in additional charges, fare differences, administrative fees, or other consequences where permitted by the applicable booking terms.
If a requested change cannot be accommodated, any cancellation or refund will be handled under the cancellation conditions applicable to your reservation.
09 Missed Departures and No-Shows
Travelers are responsible for arriving at the required check-in location within the time specified by the cruise line or relevant provider.
Missing a departure, arriving late, failing to check in, or failing to carry required travel documents may result in the loss of some or all of the trip, depending on the applicable booking terms.
Refunds or alternative arrangements in these situations are not guaranteed and will depend on the provider's policies and any rights available under applicable law.
10 Travel Insurance
We encourage travelers to consider suitable travel insurance before departure. Depending on the policy, coverage may include certain unexpected cancellations, travel interruptions, medical emergencies, or other covered events.
Coverage, exclusions, claim deadlines, and reimbursement requirements are determined by the insurance provider and the policy purchased.
Travel insurance does not guarantee reimbursement for every cancellation. Review the policy documents and contact the insurer directly regarding any claim.
11 Payment Disputes and Duplicate Charges
If you believe that a payment was duplicated, incorrectly charged, or processed without authorization, contact us promptly using the details provided below.
We may request relevant transaction information to help identify and review the issue. Do not provide complete payment card numbers or security codes in your message.
You may also contact your bank or payment provider to report an unauthorized transaction or ask about its dispute resolution procedures. Nothing in this policy restricts any rights available to you under applicable law.
12 Exceptions and Legal Rights
Exceptional circumstances may require an individual review of a cancellation or refund request. Supporting information may be requested where reasonably necessary to assess the request.
Any exception is subject to the applicable booking terms, the authority of the relevant provider, and applicable law. Submitting a request does not guarantee an exception.
Nothing in this policy is intended to exclude, restrict, or waive any consumer right, statutory refund entitlement, or other protection that cannot lawfully be excluded under applicable law.
